When photographing weddings in or around London, I avoid all things cheesy and make images with an alternative look. My approach to weddings is simple, to capture everything I see. You never know when a great moment is about to happen, so I make sure to always have my camera by my side ready to photograph these special moments, always on the lookout for laughter and joy. If you take a look through my wedding portfolio, you’ll see a collection with some of my favourite images I’ve taken over the years. You can also have a read through some of the Kind Words that my past couples have had to say about me.
Hey, I’m Luke. I’m an alternative wedding photographer based just outside of London. I shoot weddings all across the UK and in London, my goal is to capture weddings creatively but also to document your day in a relaxed way. Making sure you book a London Wedding Photographer whose work you connect with is super important. I love telling stories through photography, which is why I have to pinch myself everyday. I’m so fortunate to do what I do. I get to meet awesome London couples and photograph one of the biggest celebrations of their lives! It really is a wonderful feeling to capture such momentous moments with their friends and family.
Why book a London based Photographer for your wedding?
I regularly capture alternative weddings across the UK but one of my favourite cities to work in is London, but I’m happy to travel anywhere. When booking a photographer for your wedding it's worth finding out where they are based. I know the city of London very well as I live so close to it. Some photographers may charge you extra if they are having to travel from a far but when booking with me, there are no hidden costs. I don't charge any travel for London wedding photography.

If you're getting married in the City of London then you have so many options for choosing the perfect wedding venue. One Friendly Place is a cool large warehouse style venue with many levels to it. The Asylum in Peckham is another popular location. Super rustic chapel with amazing pockets of light. In the East side you have places like Clapton Country Club. A very unique space with an urban feel. Next to the River Thames is Trinity Buoy Wharf. This is a large space with plenty of charm and character. The NED is a hotel in the heart of London. It can easily accommodate for up to 200 guests. The Barbican Centre is a wonderful venue that can hold up to 220 guests. It has a garden room that makes for amazing photographs. The Gherkin offers amazing city skylines. Kew Gardens is a botanic garden if you're looking for a very unique experience. If you're wanting to have a Town Hall wedding then Islington Town Hall is a very popular location.
I would love to capture your day
Whenever I speak with couples about photographing their wedding, I always hear the same thing. They tell me that they love how natural my images are. This is all down to the way I shoot and the trust that my couples have with me. I always make sure to capture natural and beautiful wedding photos for every couple. When shooting weddings, I like to capture all the excitement in the morning with your bridesmaids and groomsmen all the way through to the first dance and them crazy dance floor photos. I also capture the small details including things like the wedding dress and bouquet. It's important to me that I photograph all parts of your day so that you'll have a visual memories that will last a lifetime.
